Description
Gain an understanding of the accounting cycle and the use of accounting as an information system. Explore basic financial accounting theory and learn to analyze business transactions and the accounts affected by these transactions. Develop accounting skills by using the rules of debit and credit, journalizing business transactions, posting transactions, and completing financial statements.

Note: Successful completion of ACCT 1001AND ACCT1002 is the equivalent to Financial Accounting I (ACCT-1000 ).

This course will be delivered on-line in a distance asynchronous format. There will be no face to face or scheduled classes. Classes will be recorded and posted to the Holland College Learning Management System for students to view in their own time. Instructors will have posted office hours for support.
