Description
The Real Estate Career Preparation Course (RECP) is a pre-requisite online course that provides you with the information you need to make an informed decision whether or not to pursue a career in real estate. The course is through a partnership with the PEI Real Estate Association. The course is through a partnership with the PEI Real Estate Association. This is a self study course offered through the College's online learning platform (referred to as SAM). Topics covered include: About Real Estate, Sectors and Players, Real Estate Profession, Real Estate Math, Real Estate and You, and Next Steps. Upon completion of the RECP course, you will be able to: - Explain the importance of the real estate industry and its role in the economy. - Consider market data that is of interest to the real estate industry. - Identify the main sectors, or specialties, of the real estate industry. - Outline the types of professionals or organizations with which members of the industry work with on a regular basis. - Outline personal and financial factors associated with working in the industry. - Identify some key considerations that should be examined before choosing a real estate firm to work for. - Identify key personal traits that contribute to real estate success. - Decide if you wish to proceed in obtaining your salesperson license.
