Description

The New Manager Training program is an online certificate program that delivers content to help new managers excel in their workplace. Participants of the program have two options. The first is to select certain modules offered through the program and receive a micro credential for each module completed. The second option is to complete all modules in the program and receive a complete New Manager Training certificate.

Modules offered in the New Manager Training program include:

Communication Skills
Having good communication skills is crucial for managers. It ensures the job gets done on time and done well, and ensures safety in the workplace. In this course, you will learn about written communication, oral communication, time management, and workplace ethics.

This course has four modules. For each module, you will be given questions and an assignment so you can put what you learned into practice. Each module has a quiz to see how much information you retained from the material (the quizzes are not worth marks). The Time Management and Ethics section has an assignment but no questions. When you have completed all the modules, you will be given a final test.

Human Resource Management
Human Resource Management is an important aspect of any organization. It deals with hiring, firing, and training employees, as well ensuring that employees are happy and motivated in their work. In this course, you will learn how to conduct a job analysis, how to recruit potential employees and hire the best ones, how to train and develop employees, as well as the legal aspects of human resource management.

This course has four modules. For each module, you will be given questions and an assignment so you can put what you learned into practice. Each module has a quiz to see how much information you retained from the material (the quizzes are not worth marks). When you have completed all the modules, you will be given a final test.

Performance Management
Performance Management is a process that provides feedback, accountability, and documentation for performance outcomes. It helps employees to channel their talents toward organizational goals. In this course, you will learn how to set up a performance management system, how to conduct a performance evaluation, and how to motivate employees to be the best they can be.

This course has 4 modules. For each module, you will be given questions and an assignment so you can put what you learned into practice. Each module has a quiz to see how much information you retained from the material (the quizzes are not worth marks). The Coaching and Feedback section has questions but no assignment. When you have completed all the modules, you will be given a final test.
