This course is designed to prepare front line supervisors to assume Incident Command of critical incidents until relieved. Officers will be trained to utilize critical thinking and risk management principles in order to safely manage calls for service. It will provide students with a level of operational awareness to assess, plan, prepare, and respond as required with early interventions and de-escalation activities. Prerequisite: IC 100 or IMS 100 Course. NOTE: Registrants will be provided a link to complete IR 100 course, online, through OPC prior to the course start date.
