Job Description

The ideal candidate has a passion for storytelling and is able to write enticing social media copy that appeals to various target markets. They will work with our Digital Content Manager to implement social media and digital marketing campaigns that have a clear and consistent brand voice for our clients to meet key objectives. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent web content writing skills and be comfortable working in a fast pasted environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and other marketing team members to implement campaigns.
  • Execute result-driven social media strategies
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends to stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Optimizing social media posts (language, tone, message) based on our target audience's behaviours
  • Engage and interact with users and respond to social media messages and comments
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions
  • Attend events and produce live social media content
  • Schedule content through social media management tools
  • Review analytics and create detailed reports with key metrics

Qualifications:

  • Strong storytelling, copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Top-notch oral and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent social listening skills
  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
  • Ability to work independently and remotely or as part of a team
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for events
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about being a part of a team
  • Critical thinker with proficiency in problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools and digital media formats is an asset
