General Connection 250 at Texas Motor Speedway preview

There are just three races remaining in the 2020 Canadian eMotorsports Network NASCAR Series entering the General Connection 250 at Texas Motor Speedway on Tuesday.

As we continue the journey towards the Series Championship Race on November 17 at Phoenix Raceway, a win on Tuesday night by one of our remaining playoff drivers would punch their ticket to the finale; they would join Ryan Gibson (West Virginia, USA) who clinched his spot in the race after winning at Kansas last week.

While the point totals of the remaining seven playoff drivers have become separated after the first race in the Round-of-8, all eight drivers are threats to win on Tuesday night at Texas.

Darcy Ford (PEI, Canada), Jose Mercado (Florida, USA) and Scott Bailey (Michigan, USA) find themselves 31, 21 and 14-points to the good over Corbin MacAulay (PEI, Canada) and Jacob Nelson (Tennessee, USA); both drivers sit in fifth place and are chasing the final available spot in the November 17 Championship Race.  Mike Marini (Ontario, Canada) sits in seventh, 32-points back, while Chad Hyder (Ohio, USA) sits in eighth, 34-points back.

While the top-four drivers have separated themselves from the rest, a win by a driver below the cutline could really make things interesting, bumping the top-four drivers down a position, intensifying the battle for the remaining spots in the Championship Race.

The General Connection 250 will feature 164-laps around the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway on Tuesday night.  The race will be contested over three-stages, with additional points available during the first two stages.

The final race of the Round-of-8 takes place on November 10 at Martinsville Speedway.

All races can be seen live at www.facebook.com/eMotorsportsCAN, with the pre-race show beginning at 7:45pm eastern.
