Hurricanes hosting ACAA competition

November 23, 2018

The Holland College Centre for Community Engagement will be the home of ACAA badminton action this weekend.

The Hurricanes will be joined by the Université de Sainte-Anne Dragons, Mount Allison Mounties, Dal AC Rams and UKC Blue Devils for the two-day competition, the second ACAA event of the season.

The first event was held on November 9 in Church Point, Nova Scotia; the Hurricanes were registered for the event but elected not to travel due to poor weather conditions.

The Dal AC Rams were victorious in the event with the Mounties, Dragons and Blue Devils following.

Head coach, Emma Hughes, is excited to get the season started.

“The team has been practicing very hard for their first tournament of the year and we are excited to see how much the hard work has paid off. I’m proud off all of them and the work they have put in so far this year.”

Women’s singles A: Kathrine McEwen

Women’s singles B: Isabelle Saunders

Women’s doubles A: Teanna Letkeman and Brittney Lessard
