Free, confidential counselling is available to all Holland College students.
Students access counselling services for support when they are dealing with mental health concerns, suicidal thoughts, personal or relational struggles, depression, anxiety, past trauma, sexual assault, sexuality, gender identity, addictions, adjusting to college life, or other things that may be affecting them.
To set up an appointment or for more information, please contact a counsellor directly. The counsellor will arrange an initial appointment to provide support and determine what your counselling needs are. Appointments are available during regular college hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Randell moved back to Prince Edward Island in 2017 after living all over Canada and abroad for 16 years. She is a registered social worker at the master’s level with a broad range of therapeutic skills and specializes in gender, sexuality and sexual violence.
Randell is client-centered, trauma-informed, body-focused, and grounded in an anti-oppression intersectional framework. This is an approach to therapy that recognizes peoples’ intersecting social identities, including race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, and ethnicity, and their relationships to systems of power.
Jill came to Holland College with over 12 years of experience working in the field of mental health and addictions. Jill graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) and from the University of New Brunswick with a Masters of Education in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Jill is a certified counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Jill is a client-centered therapist who has clinical skills suited to a wide range of problems. She has the ability to empathize and connect with clients from any background. She utilizes talk therapy and cognitive-behavioural techniques and provides a strength-based, self-care approach to help clients on their journey to improved mental health.
