Description: FOUNDATION AWARDS are given with the purpose of increasing the participation and inclusion of students with disabilities in Island life. Up to six Foundation Awards, valued at up to $500 each, may be awarded annually towards the costs for items approved by the Board of the Foundation.
Criteria: Criteria for the Foundation Awards are that the applicant must have a permanent disability, be aged 19 or under at the time of application and be a permanent resident of Prince Edward Island. Application forms must be accompanied by two reference letters. The application deadline is June 30th each year. Successful applicants for Foundation Awards may re-apply after three years. Application forms are available through PEI Council of People with Disabilities offices or on the website www.peicod.pe.ca
